The Barbour Autumn/Winter 2011 collection has now hit the shelves and we are as excited as we ever have been about the release of a Barbour collection. This season Barbour have produced a large range of functional clothing for the cold winter months. As well as the usual Barbour jackets that they are so well known for, this year their stylish knitwear items are certain to be a hit with consumers and Barbour fans. Quality Marino wool has been used to craft some of the jumpers that they have produced alongside 7 guage wool mixes. This season we seem to be seeing a lot of hunting patches on the shoulders and elbow patches of items across various designer brands. Barbour have used a quality suede material to produce some of the patches.
As usual we have a large selection of Barbour jackets in this collection. They vary in style and we will be bringing individual coats and jackets in seperate posts over the following weeks. Some take their inspiration from the Barbour motorcycle heritage whilst others take more of an outwearwear theme, which Barbour became famous for. In particular the Barbour Beall jacket (picture below) is a new style that they have created for the AW11 collection. A quilted jacket with roots steeped in that of mens workwear and industrial clothing, yet retaining a sense of style that would look perfect out and about in town.

Barbour Black Sapper Jacket
Barbour Sapper Jacket in Black is one of the latest styles of jackets to come from the South Shields based company. A visually stunning piece of clothing, this stylish jacket has its roots based firmly in the motorcycle clothing of yesteryear. Finished in a 100% black waxed cotton material, the jacket is internally lined with a Union Jack flag lining.
It is branded internally and externally. On the outside you will find a Barbour International badge as well as a Barbour patch with a Union Jack background which is stitched onto the front of the jacket. To close the jacket you will find a branded zipper ring which fastens to the neck and a press stud closing wind flap. This exciting fusion of designers have came together to create an exclusive range of designer jackets and coats for men only. This Beacon Heritage Collection is dedicated to the vast history of Barbour in the motorcycle and military outerwear. The long history of Barbour combined with the fashion designs of Tokito make a perfect combination. The collection of coats/jackets are stunning in appearance and are certainly going to be on a lot of peoples shopping lists come the Autumn/Winter months.
One of the stunning jackets is the Barbour x Tokihito quilted jacket in Navy. Finished with a quilted hood, the jacket comes with two deep button down lower front pockets and a smaller chest pocket. The check lining makes the jacket very eyecatching

Barbour International 75th Anniversary
Barbour are celebrating 75 Years of the Barbour biker jacket. The iconic Barbour International Jacket has been commemorated with the release of the Barbour Nylon International Jacket. Seven nylon jackets have been released which are said to be inspired from the 1970 racing suits.
These colourful jackets come in yellow, blue, navy and many more colours complete with the large Barbour patch on the chest and multi pockets. A brass buckle belt runs through the middle of the coat which has press stud fastening in multiple places. Most importantly for a biker jacket, it is splash resistant.
