We are not sure how we have missed this one but it seems that Barbour have released a version of the classic Bedale jacket with the masters of minimal design; Sophnet. An eye-catching camouflage lining has been added to this traditional piece. Finished with a beeswax coating to make it water resistant, the jacket has also been given black buttons and a bold golden zipper. When you are on the lookout for a new Barbour, it is always nice to have a browse through a collection of images from people that are already wearing it. Social media outlets such as Facebook and Twitter are full with pages supporting the brand but Pinterest is somewhat of a goldmine for Barbour fans looking for inspiration. Although it hasn’t been around for too long, the global success of Pinterest over the past few years has been phenomenal. Millions of users source imagery from around the World to add to their collection.
One such user is Laura Bonnell who has created Barbour Style. This is one of the most comprehensive collections of Barbour inspired photographs that you are likely to find anywhere on the net. To commemorate the hugely popular Barbour Steve McQueen collaboration, the official Barbour site have unveiled a competition to win a trip to the International Six Day Enduro 2013. A party of four, including yourself, could win a trip to the famous Sardinian motorbike event with accomodation and travel included. £125 spending money will be thrown in as well as probably the best prize…a Steve McQueen jacket each. Festival season is upon us. The obligitory rain is being forecasted for the next few months so the helpful people over on the Official Barbour site have put together a handy little guide for festival goers. Good little tips like taking small packets of tissues in plastic wrappers in case you are found wanting loo roll in those horrible portaloo’s could prove invaluable for even the hardiest festival fan. Ewen McGregor and Charlie Boorman are both pictured wearing Belstaff jackets in this photo. The pair teamed up for the hit tv series Long Way Down and Long Way Round. Wearing Belstaff jackets, the pair ventured off on their motorcycles in exhausting conditions to produce a quality tv programme which is now available to download from online stockists.
